Math and Converters
Standard arithmetic and unit conversion for weight, length and temperature.
Math and converter tools cover everyday arithmetic and unit conversion. The unit converter uses fixed conversion factors for weight, length and temperature, and rejects values that cannot exist in the physical world.
- Unit Converter
Convert weight, length and temperature units with validation for physical limits.
- Standard Calculator
Use a standard calculator for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages in your browser.
How to use the math tools
The standard calculator supports addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and brackets. Type the numbers and signs as you would write them on paper, then press equals. Multiplication and division are done before addition and subtraction, and brackets are done first.
The unit converter changes weight, length and temperature. Choose the category, enter the value, pick the starting unit and the target unit, then press convert.
Why the converter rejects some values
A weight or length cannot be negative, so the converter shows a message when you enter one. Kelvin cannot be below zero because zero Kelvin is the lowest possible temperature.
Who uses these tools
Students check homework, shoppers compare sizes and prices from different countries, and cooks convert recipe weights and temperatures. The tools run in your browser, so your numbers stay on your device.
Questions
Does the standard calculator run on a server?
No. All arithmetic runs in your browser, and your numbers are not sent anywhere.
